Future Care for your animal    

MGFT provides continued love and care for your pet when you are not able to do so personally.

When you have to say goodbye to a dear friend (perhaps you are going to a home which will not allow pets), you want to know that they are going to a loving home.

MGFT are committed to providing the care your friends need and will accept full responsibility for your pet. We feel that dogs and cats belong in a loving home and not in a kennel or a cage.

We always go the extra mile to find the ideal home to continue your pet's happy life.

We understand that saying goodbye can be a stressful time for you and your animal. We do our best to ease this anxiety. Once you meet our caring staff and see our sanctuaries you will know you have made the right choice.

How you can help MGFT

  • We take care of your pets free of charge, but please bear in mind that there are costs to care for your animal. Therefore all donations are kindly received.
  • If you are considering leaving any money to a Charity, please think of MGFT.

Nora Lane had always been interested in the welfare of animals and has been a supporter of the Trust since 1982.

Back in 1981 she bought Flora and another shetland pony to be companions for her riding horse. Unfortunately Flora's shetland pony companion died about seven years ago but Flora has been with her for 24 years.

Miss Lane now has Spot from the sanctuary as a companion for Flora. "They got on well together right from their first meeting. There were a few girly squeals and then they both starting cropping grass and all was well from then on."

To secure the future for her ponies, if she is not able to look after them herself, Miss Lane has joined 'Future Care'. This will enable MGFT to take on the responsibility. She has filled in a form to this effect and advised her friends and solicitor of this agreement.

"We are a very happy family" says Miss Lane. "I am indeed most grateful to the Trust for ensuring Flora's future. It is a great load off my mind."
