Margaret Green Animal Rescue is a pet rescue charity which has animal sanctuaries in Devon and Dorset that shelter animals until they can be rehomed. We have a large variety of rescue pets to rehome from pet rabbits, pet mice, dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, horses and goats.
Church Knowle pet rescue centre in Dorset:
As well as being our Head Office and Visitor Centre, Church Knowle in Dorset is the largest sanctuary of the charity.
Picnic in some of Dorset's most beautiful scenery, feel free to wander around and see the care we take of our rescue pets. With 35 acres, we
provide capacity for more than 250 animals including cats, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, aviary birds and an active wildlife section.
It is unfortunate and indeed distressing that at some time your pet will pass on to the great animal sanctuary in heaven. At Church Knowle in Dorset we have a pleasant Garden of Remembrance where we can offer a quiet spot for the ashes of your pet and a remembrance plaque.
To enable us to provide the best possible care in Dorset at our pet rescue sanctuary in Church Knowle, we have a Sanctuary Manager, a qualified veterinary nurse and animal welfare workers who can offer pet bereavement counselling. We also have a number of voluntary workers who regularly visit to assist with animal care.
During the summer, local children come into the sanctuary and we also have a significant number of students from local schools and colleges in Dorset and surrounding counties who come to us for work experience.

Lincoln Farm pet rescue centre in Dorset:
Sited in the rolling Dorset countryside near Bere Regis, our Lincoln Farm pet rescue sanctuary provides care for some 50 dogs.
In addition to our Sanctuary Manager, we employ animal welfare workers and again rely heavily on a number of voluntary workers who assist with animal care and exercising. We also offer
support to people following the loss of their animal.
