… There’s a Way
Our world would be a very different place without charities to
help animals.
At MGFT we rely heavily on members of the public for financial
support to provide shelter, food, medical care and a lot of love to
the animals we rescue. Without us many animals would have no
hope of sanctuary or the chance to find a new owner.
Despite being a charity the cost of staff, goods and services is
very high. We must raise enough funds to give our animals a
good future.
A gift in your Will to MGFT could make all the difference as to
how many animals we can rescue; not just this year but every year.
Your Will can be a way for providing ongoing care to hundreds of
animals in the future.

Why it is important for everyone to make a Will
- nearly everyone has property or possessions to leave in a Will
- your Will makes sure your wishes and instructions are followed
- gifts to charity are exempt from Inheritance Tax and may
reduce the amount of tax payable from your estate.
By writing a Will,
you not only ensure that your loved ones are cared for, you can also
ensure the animals at MGFT benefit from your generosity.
To leave us an amount of money or property by legacy, please make
the bequest in favour of 'The Margaret Green Foundation Trust'.
Your solicitor can advise on what type of legacy is most
appropriate for you to consider. This may be a set amount of
money or a residual legacy (one that leaves the remainder of your
estate, or part of it, to us after other beneficiaries have been
taken care of) or a gift in kind such as property.
If you have already made a will, your solicitor can draw up an amendment
for you. Your solicitor could also advise on other forms of wording
to be included in a will. Thank you for
your kindness in remembering MGFT in your Will. We will keep you in touch with updates on our animal
welfare activities and what we are doing. Understanding how
many people intend to support us in this way is also essential to
our future planning. It would be most useful if you would let
us know if you have undertaken to support MGFT in your Will. |
